Kristina Dubrovskaya who skates at ISS Coventry and is coached by Yuri Bureiko represented Cyprus at the first ISU Development trophy in March 2013.

The event was well attended with skaters from Iceland, Luxemburg, Morocco, Cyprus and Croatia.

Skaters had the opportunity to be trained by Valentin Nikolaev from the USA. The four-time Ukrainian champion is one of the world's best technical coach’s in figure skating. His athletes were once Olympic champion Oksana Bajul and European champion Viacheslav Zagorodniuk. He received his education at the Technological Institute of St. Petersburg and the Ukrainian Sport University.

The whole of the Cyprus federation, including the president spent the whole week at the development camp in Poland. It was a great week and a good experience for the whole of the federation to enjoy.

The event was a great chance for Kristina to skate in the ISU event in preparation for the competition season ahead. Kristina finished 10th overall and her coach Yuri Bureiko was pleased with her performance.
