Fund Raising

Posted: 28th April 2014

ISS would like to inform our skating community about a 10K obstacle ‘Hero Run’ that is taking place later in the year which will be raising funds for Help for Hero’s and the Royal British legion to mark its 100 year anniversary.

The event is taking place on 28th June 2014 in Coventry and tickets are available now. The Hero Run will be held at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre in Fillongley, situated a 5 minute drive from the true centre of England, Meriden. The course has been designed and tested by a fully qualified team of personal trainers with all different levels of competitors in mind, with many obstacles offering a bypass.

The course will test you not only physically but also mentally. It will test your upper body strength, your lower body strength, agility and stamina. You will experience many different running surfaces and gradients, ranging from flat tracks to run on, to muddy, wet, boggy trails to battle through. Obstacles include “The Wall”, high scramble nets to get over and sand dunes to battle with. Not forgetting the lake to wade through and mud, lots of mud plus a giant mud slide that is sure to bring a smile to your face.

Deatails of the event and the purchase of tickets can be found at herorun.co.uk After 500 tickets have been sold the price increases so don’t miss out on a chance to be a hero. Completing the run will be your medal of honour!!

If you require any further information or clarification details, please don’t hesitate to research the above mentioned web site.

This is not an ISS event, but we are happy to show our support.
