Now 20, Viv started skating in Slough at the age of 2 and has always had a passion for the sport. In 2009 Viv was offered the opportunity to compete for the recently developed Ice Skating Association of Ireland, since then he has represented Ireland at Junior Grand Prix's in Germany and Poland, and in 2010 competed at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships in The Hague, Netherlands. He is also the 2010 Irish Men's Champion.

When asked about his move to Milton Keynes Viv said –

"I'm really enjoying coaching here at MK. Everybody has been really friendly and i'm settling in well. I look forwards to starting my training with Yuri Bureiko over the coming weeks"
