Spotlight on Eva Cater

Posted: 22nd December 2016

ISS Coventry skater Eva Cater was born 23 January 2005 in Vilnius, Lithuania. She started skating when she was six after her mother decided to bring her to the ice rink. As a young child, Eva was engaged in both skating and gymnastics but dropped gymnastics after her coach said that she needed to choose. Now she trains six days a week on the ice under the direction of coaches Dmitrij Kozlov and Marina Serova and Yuri Bureyko from ISS Coventry. Eva also participates in weekly athletics and dance classes. Her interests include acting, neo ballet and playing computer games. Her skating heroes are Kim Yuna, Evgenia Medvedeva and Elena Radionova.

In the 2016-17 season, Eva made her British Championship debut and won the Basic Novice A Ladies after beating nearly 40 other competitors with a score of 41.92.

Eva works really hard and has had her most successful season to date. Her dream is to represent Great Britain in the Olympics one day.

Well done Eva!
