Vicky and Andy leave Dancing on Ice with their heads held high!

Posted: 12th March 2012

Vicky Ogden of ISS Milton Keynes and her celebrity partner Andy Whyment have left Dancing on Ice after a great run on the ITV show. They made their exit from the competition in week 9 after losing out to Chemmy and Sean in the Skate-off.

Following the pairs individual routines, the skaters took to the team challenge, the girls rocketed to the top of the Leaderboard after beating the boys in the challenge, which left Chemmy and Andy to do battle after the public had their say. Despite Andy and Vicky getting their best score of 20.5 of the series, and some great comments from the judges, Chemmy came out the judges favorite as all 3 chose Chemmy to stay. Corrie star Andy Whyment shed a tear as he skated his lap of honor after an emotional nine weeks of competition.

Andy and Vicky have work tremendously hard week after week, and have pushed their skills to the limits and shown the judges just how far Andy's development has come. Robin Cousins went on to say: “Andy you've been great to watch in this series and it was a great way for you to go.” and Louie Spence finished by telling the actor "that he had certainly given it 100%."

ISS would like to congratulate Andy and Vicky for doing so well, and would also like to thank all our skaters, parents and coaches for the support you have shown the pair.

Vicky has been completely overwhelmed by the support she has received week in week out before and during her Dancing on Ice experience. A special thank you to Yuri Bureiko who has encouraged Vicky from the start and throughout her career at ISS. A big thank you to Planet Ice, Silver Blades Leisure box and Ice Media Productions for their continued support, not only during the show but in the months prior to the show starting. A huge thank you to all the coaches at ISS, who's dedication and help has been amazing. Vicky would also like to thank all the skaters and parents, your messages and wishes every week were such a boost. Vicky said she couldn’t of done it with out the network of great people around her, work colleagues, skaters, family and friends, its has been an amazing journey, thank you!
