Volvo Cup 2017

Posted: 14th November 2017

It was the 34th Volvo Open Cup in Riga last week and ISS Coventry skaters represented their School and Country well.

Pairs couple Zoe Jones and Christopher Boyadji were 1st after both the Short and the free Program with a final score of 146.60. The pair had a great few days, as well as a podium finish, they have also been invited to skate at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Internationaux de France from 17th November. We wish them luck and can’t wait to see them compete at the event.

Phil Harris represented the Senior Men at the event, also with a podium finish of 3rd place and a score of 190.86. Phil went on to say "Not perfect and definitely not my best, but I came out, fought for everything and never gave up! I am proud of that. A podium finish is definitely a good result and a big positive! Now a few weeks of hard work before nationals.”

Well done team ISS!
