Kirstie Leon started skating in the March of 2006 when she was just 9. She took lessons in the learn to skate course at Planet ice UK and progressed through the levels very quickly. Kirstie started having private lessons when she reached level 5 in the May of the same year.

This dedication saw her take part in her first open competition at Telford in 2007 where she was placed 6th and subsequently went on to win her second open competition at Lee Valley the same year. Kirstie has since gone on and gained podium places at Milton Keynes and Romford open's and has successfully skated in her first IJS at Sheffield in 2010.
